Gord Naismith
Gord has been working for ServiceMaster of Brantford for the past 13 years. Prior to ServiceMaster he pastored for 8 years. He experienced incredible hurt when he was suddenly let go from his position without cause. That experience began a time of searching and healing through counselling and healing ministry. A friend told him about the Exchanged Life Advanced Training course through Crossways to Life. He enrolled in the 2024 ELAT program, graduating in November. Gord has a heart for helping others through the challenges of life and he sensed God’s leading him to join the Crossways Team. Gord embraces by faith the Crossways to Life key verse: Galatians 2:20 (ESV) “I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
Gord previously took counselling courses at Emmanuel Bible College and has ministry experience during his time as a pastor especially helping couples prepare for marriage. Gord has a Bachelor of Architecture, Project Management from Ryerson University in Toronto. He has spent most of his career in the building industry: condominiums in Toronto; shopping plazas in South Western Ontario and building houses and custom homes in the Tillsonburg area.
Gord is married to Donna, they have 3 married adult children and 8 amazing grandchildren. This stage of life, being grandparents, has brought incredible joy to both Gord and Donna. They are members and actively involved at a Baptist Church in Cambridge. For pleasure Gord loves to take road trips with his wife; he enjoys outback camping with his 2 sons, an annual tradition. Gord loves to read, he enjoys sports and working with his hands.
Gord meets with clients in Kitchener and on Zoom.
